That citrus syrup sound cool. In the Persian culture, they make a drink using a simple syrup boiled with vinegar and sometimes flavored with mint, ginger, or other spices.

BTW, I am that player whose character died in Roy’s D&D game. It does suck that we’ll miss out on those roleplaying opportunities, especially as we had both invested a lot of effort into co-creating a backstory.

But the dice don’t lie, and if we’d retconned the 1 then it would cheapen every 20 I’ve ever rolled. I think everyone else was more bothered by it then I was, but I must say I was really touched by the level of concern the other players and the DM showed.
